my PeacePlayers experience

A couple days ago I was asked if I would contribute a blog post to the PeacePlayers International blog. Step 1: Visit the blog by clicking THIS. Step 2: Stop working and surf the PeacePlayers site and learn about the awesomeness that is PeacePlayers. Step 3: Like us on facebook and follow us on twitter. Step 4: Get facebook and twitter, then return to Step 3 and skip Step 4. Step 5: Continue visiting my blog even though these Steps are absolutely ridiculous.

“Sweet to the Beat!”

About Patrick

I am currently serving through the Young Adult Volunteer program, a program of the PC(USA), in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Just over a year ago, I graduated from Auburn University where I studied philosophy, religious studies concentration, and anthropology. I love spending time in a hammock, a good cup of coffee, and I'm always jonesin' for some Bluegrass covers of pop songs. View all posts by Patrick

Patrick, what a fine piece! Although I have never been able to chew gum, dribble a basketball, keep my eye on the basket, and breathe at the same time, I sense the truth in what you have written about anxiety growing toward unity. I’m glad you had such a satisfying experience with PeacePlayers and an insight that resulted in your blog entry. (Save the idea for a good sermon someday!) I was pleased to learn from Wilbur Tincher that you have been admitted to Columbia Seminary. What a fine student–and pastor!–you will be. I have a hunch that your Belfast experiences will enhance your success both at seminary and along whatever pathway you and God can work out. — Terry
